AJA(ISO 9001-20003rd Surveillance Audit

After successfully renewing our ISO 9001-2000 Certification for year 2008 with Zero non-conformance violations, Stonerich underwent Stage 3 Surveillance Audit last June 10, 2009 by AJA Registrars, Inc. with Edward Afable as Audit Team Leader and Edgardo Paredes (who was diligently auditing us for the past 3years) as Auditor.

Unlike the first Surveillance Audit which focused also on site operations, this year’s audit covers only the area of Top Management/QMR; Human Resources ; Purchasing; Warehouse & Logistics; Maintenance; Internal Audit and Document & Records Control.

Although, the auditors noted two (2) incidents of concern during the audit process in the area of purchasing and document & records control we are still recommended for continued ISO 9001:2000 certification . Likewise, continual improvements done was highlighted specifically on the company’s IT/MITs infrastructure, on the procurement system, i.e. NO PO NO DELIVERY SYSTEM, new corporate image, standardization of company signages, standardization of subcon workers uniforms and acquisitions of new field equipment.

To date we are preparing for our aim to upgrade our certification to ISO 9001:2008 version. The new version covers more on the definition and terms of QMS standard and separation of the criteria for supplier and subcon accreditation, evaluation and re-evaluation.

Series of trainings and information drive are scheduled for this year to update MSC employees on the new version. Document revision and updating is expected also to be finished by end of October 2009 with the help of fcu and associates (our management consultant ).

To all the staff congratulations and more power!
Aim high for ISO 9001:2008.
